The heart of the Blomdahl Ear-Piercing System is our sterile, single use piercing instrument. Single use, disposable technology is the only way to eliminate the chance of contracting a blood borne virus from a piercing. This technology is commonly used in all invasive surgical procedures, and is now being applied to ear-piercing.
Medical Grade Materials
Our patented medical plastic ear piercing studs are the only 0% nickel ear-piercing studs in the world. Our pure medical-grade titanium studs are the safest metal option available (safer than stainless or surgical steel, which contains 8-12% nickel). These are safest possible materials to be pierced with from an allergy perspective.
Quality Control
All of our products are manufactured at our factory in Sweden using modern, clean room technology. We have a medical-device quality system (ISO 13485) that monitors everything and ensures full traceability though LOT numbers for each individual piece of jewelry. This is how we can guarantee the jewelry is gentle on the skin and the ear-piercing is sterile.
Optimal Healing
Our ear-piercing studs are designed to support healing. For a new piercing, it’s essential that the area stays open and airy, so our studs feature two post lengths and a backing that secures at the very end for better airflow. The slightly thicker posts also make switching to regular earrings easier without irritating the healing tissue.
